The Grand Beach area is great for biking. The park offers many trails both on road and off road and is a great activity for the family or for the agressiv rider. Mountain Bike Course Located in Grand Beach Provincial Park, there are approximatly five maintained trails.
The trails are used for sking in the winter so they are mostly singletrack paths in a 10ft wide trail. There are lots of technical sections with steep climbs and descents and curves. The trails are mostly composed of pine needles, sand and dirt with lots of rocks. There is a mountain bike race course created by Lindsay Gauld and Jim Brogden which is 9.5 km long. There are small cabins out on the trails that are great for having lunch or taking a break.
<strong>How to get there</strong> Once you get close to Grand Beach, enter the park through the East gate. Turn left before you reach the RCMP station. Dirve through the East Gate, continue about 1/4 to 1/2 mi past until you reach a gravel road with a X-country ski sign directing you to the trails. Follow the road, stick to the left and you'll come to the trail head. A small cabin sits near a parking lot.
There is a big sign with the map on it and sometimes there are trail maps available.
